Cactus Box

Cactus Box is basically an explosive musical duo transformed into a rap and brass quartet.
First with two well-tailored personalities:
Peio (keyboards - vocals) and Joos (beatbox - hiphop). They are then joined by an improvising rapper, Daemon, and trombonist Matthew Baumgartner from Seattle.
They all live in Marseille, and subtly transcend their influences to offer us a “hiphop soul blues” with a vintage feel and yet undeniably actual.
Peio combines his gritty and rock voice with keyboard playing that is sometimes soulful (Rhodes - Hammond organ), and sometimes playful (Piano - Electro), while Joos sends the rhythm flying with his Loop, a voracious appetite, and a sharp wit that's distinctly Marseillais. Daemon's fresh and dynamic rap encourages the audience to move, and the trombone brings a true melody of happiness. All this with vocal improvisations, catchy and rhythmic, delivered with a kindness directed towards the audience, dance, and poetry.
