I wrote this solo album a few years ago, before the fjords and my melodica. For years, I have been composing songs in French on the keyboard, while continuing to participate in many projects such as Hurricane Turtle (Bordeaux-Nantes-Périgord), Ms Nickki ( Memphis Tennessee), or Gabacho Maroc (Afro-Mediterranean) for international tours. This Solo EP is tinged with many colors, an idea that I like in my Caméléon waltz for example. But I also chose the electronic sampling on the EP as a rhythmic accompaniment to go through with the Solo idea. All songs are only played on keyboards and vocal cords on this EP. We can (I hope) find the influences of Tom Waits, Stevie Wonder, Thomas Fersen, Jacques Higelin... But today I have the heart to play my songs, but also French, Italian, Catalan, Basque songs . When I accompany Gabacho, I like the singer to sing in Arabic or Berber, with Hurricane Turtle I sing in English. It is all these influences that made me and make me every day. I don't confine myself to one style, I build myself through encounters with the musicians I play with.
